Missing Details

Welcome back to my devlog series on Knight Veil. This week i’ll be paying close attention to details that will give the player a deeper connection to the game. Now that I have a little time left I didnt want to focus on small details such as this however after some playtesting the game feels a little empty and i believe it the following features i implemented will help the overall product.

I implemented features such as an armour set system, first-person mode, shield system, blocking, parrying, potion drinking system, backstab and further polishing older aspects of the game. This caused my game to break on multiple occasions because I had to backtrack with code that wasn’t ready for these implementations. So there was a lot of bug fixing more than implementation this week.

However, by the end of all these implementations, I was happy with the outcome, making my game feel a lot more alive and ready to be played.
